Privacy

Your information,
handled plainly.

This notice covers website visits and email enquiries. Updated 8 October 2026.

Who handles your information

Alan runs Proof & Post Studio and handles enquiries. For questions about your information, email alan@proofandpost.co.uk.

Project briefs and email

The form prepares a draft in your email app. You choose to send it. The website does not submit form answers to a server, put them in a database or save them in browser storage. Downloading a brief creates a text file on your device.

When you send an email, we receive your name, business name, email address, service choice and project notes. We use them to respond, discuss a quote and take steps towards a project you requested. For personal enquiries this is preparation for a contract; for business contacts we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

Providers and site visits

Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and may process technical details such as your IP address and request logs. Microsoft 365 handles our business email. Your chosen email provider also handles messages you send. These providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable data protection arrangements. We do not sell enquiry information.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry correspondence while it is needed to respond, prepare a quote or continue a project discussion. We review it when the discussion ends and retain only what is needed for an active project, a legal obligation or a dispute. If you become a client, we explain project and accounting record handling separately.

Cookies and automated decisions

The site code adds no cookies, advertising trackers or analytics. We do not use enquiry details for automated decisions or profiling.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, or request a portable copy where applicable. These rights depend on the circumstances. Email Alan at the address above.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Concept work

Portfolio businesses are fictional. The examples do not describe real client outcomes.
